County Clerk/Auditor’s Duty

The Clerk/Auditor’s office prepares and maintains all the financial information for the County.  The Auditor prepares the annual budget and provides monthly financial information to each department for management purposes.  The Clerk/Auditor also prepares an annual audit of the County’s financial activity.  All payrolls, purchasing and corresponding payment of invoices are also the responsibility of the Clerk/Auditor’s office.The Clerk/Auditor’s responsibilities also include maintaining the voters’ registration system and coordination of the elections held in the County.  Other responsibilities include the issuance of marriage licenses and passports, the execution of deeds and conveyances of real estate, the recording of commission minutes, ordinances, contracts and other related documents.
